Accessibility statement
Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. This page sets out what we built in, where the limits are and how to tell us about a barrier.
Draft for solicitor review
Our commitment
Viaclin wants everyone to be able to read and use this site, whatever their device, ability or assistive technology. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on every page and in both the light and the dark theme.
What we did
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, menu, dialog and form field works from the keyboard, in a logical order. Dialogs hold focus while open, close with Escape and hand focus back to the control that opened them.
- Skip link. The first press of Tab on any page offers a link straight to the main content.
- Visible focus. A clear ring marks the element that has focus, on light, dark and footage backgrounds.
- Contrast. Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratios in both the light and the dark theme. Over footage, text sits on a tinted glass panel that holds the ratio whatever the film shows.
- Reduced motion. If your device asks for less motion, scroll reveals, drawn lines and the spinning sphere stay still, and each background film shows a still image until you press play.
- A pause control on every film. Each background film has a pause and play button. The films carry no audio and no information; they are decorative.
- Text alternatives. Images and diagrams that carry meaning have a text alternative. Decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- Structure. One main heading per page, headings in order without gaps, landmarks for the header, main content and footer, and the page language set to English (Ireland).
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors appear as text beside the field, begin with the field name and are gathered in a summary. Colour alone never carries a message.
- Target size. Controls meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum target size, and the main buttons and menus offer 44 pixels or more.
- Reflow. Pages fold to a single column on narrow screens and under browser zoom.
- Print. A print stylesheet gives ink-on-white pages without footage or menus, with link addresses written out.
Known limits
- Logos in the consultant experience banner. The third-party logos are images of text. WCAG treats logotypes as an exception, and each logo carries the company name as its text alternative. The banner has a pause button, pauses on hover and on focus, and becomes a static grid under reduced motion.
- Background footage. The films are decorative. They have no audio, no captions and no audio description, because they hold no information that the page text does not give.
- Site search. Search needs JavaScript. Without it, every page stays within reach through the header and footer links.
- Wide tables. On a narrow screen the tables in the cookie policy and the privacy notice scroll sideways inside their own frame. The frame takes keyboard focus so that arrow keys can scroll it.
If you find a limit that is not on this list, we want to hear about it.
Report a barrier
Email info@viaclin.com. It helps if you tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use.
We reply to every report. If you need the content of a page in another format, ask and we will send it.
Enforcement in Ireland
If our answer does not settle the matter, the Equal Status Acts 2000 to 2018 prohibit discrimination in the provision of services, including on the ground of disability. Complaints under those Acts go to the Workplace Relations Commission. The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission gives information on your rights.
How we assessed the site
Viaclin assessed the site itself. Every page runs through automated axe checks in both themes as part of the release process. We add manual checks with the keyboard alone, and we test at phone, tablet and desktop widths.
Automated checks find some barriers and miss others, which is why your reports matter.
Date of this statement
This statement was prepared on 17 September 2026. We review it when the site changes.
